LETTER TO MR. RATIGAN
Dear Dylan Ratigan,
I’m going to go out on a limb and say there are few people who would disagree with your assessment: the economy is broken; the unemployment insurance extension is just a band-aid. Fosgood is no economy expert, but consider this analogy: think of unemployed workers as wounded soldiers in a war; the war is the troubled economy. Unemployment insurance is necessary medical treatment for the wounded/unemployed. “Stop the War” or “Fix the Economy” - certainly, noble sentiments that require attention. Like a war needs functioning soldiers, however, an economy needs functioning spenders.
Sincerely,
Fosgood
